Robert Venable

Robert Venable is an award-winning record producer and mixing engineer residing in Nashville, Tennessee. He works with record labels, management firms, national touring bands, television networks, radio promoters, as well as local and regional talent.


Robert owns Off The Wall Recording Studio in Franklin, TN with Lester Estelle Jr (Pillar, Kelly Clarkson, Big & Rich, Neal McCoy) and has also toured as a drummer. Mix Magazine has recently profiled Robert and the studio in the March 2011 edition, and also published an interview with him in the May 2011 edition where he discusses how he uses “the cloud” in production. In 2010, Robert was a Mix Nashville panelist (along with F. Reid Shippen, Terry Christian, and Steve Marcantonio), teaching advanced plugin techniques for mixing.


In May, 2011, Disciple’s “Horseshoes and Hand Grenades” record won GMA’s Rock Album of the Year, winning Robert his first Dove Award for his engineering work on that album.
